Editorial Couples Portraits in Montreal | Île-Perrot Sunrise Session
As a Montreal portrait photographer, I love when couples bring their full energy and creativity into a session. Cat and Alex did just that during their editorial couples portrait session on Île-Perrot. The location was a hidden spot they had chosen themselves, and it gave us everything we needed: wide open fields, tall grasses, a bean field, and the glow of early autumn leaves in the background.
We began at sunrise, when the light was soft and golden. Cat and Alex were committed to creating something truly special — they even brought furniture to the field so we could make portraits that felt editorial, cinematic, and full of personality. The result is a series of images that capture both intimacy and style, with a mix of candid, playful shots and fashion-inspired compositions.
Why Editorial Portraits?
Editorial portraits are about more than just capturing faces — they’re about telling a story. Whether it’s a couple, an individual, or a professional branding session, this approach blends fine art and fashion photography to create images that look like they belong in a magazine. For Cat and Alex, the editorial style was perfect: moody, stylish, and timeless, yet still full of warmth.
